This was a commercial shoot for Warm Hearts Pet hospital in Henderson, Nevada. One of the services that I offer is large format advertising for pet businesses. This project was wonderful because we photographed the employee's dogs and a few client dogs.
The nice thing about this was the uniformity of the project with the black background. I normally wouldn't choose the black background as a color but as I did this, I fell in love with the black. Photographing dogs on the simplicity of a single color backdrop helps to let them stand out.
This project eventually became window coverings for the pet hospital in Henderson. The impact that large scale photography has is always eye catching. It's the reason the majority of billboards contain photographs.
